Deildará

Deildara is a three rod river which prides itself by a good chance of catching the three most common fish in Iceland, arctic char, brown trout and of course the atlantic salmon.

Last seasons total catch during 60 days of fishing was 301 salmon, 43 arctic char and 84 brown trout during 48 days of fishing.

The river is 7km long and has 17 marked pools but at least 20 more pools which hold salmon and trout that have not been marked with a pool sign. The river is perfect for single handed rods, 6 to 8 weight, small flies and the rifled hitch.

The river comes with a very nice self catering lodge. The lodge has three spacious bedrooms, each bedroom with private bathroom facilities.
